Agreement
These terms apply when you access clyps.ai, create a Clyps account, or use a Clyps app. By using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Accounts and workspaces
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials and devices secure. You are responsible for activity under your account unless you promptly report unauthorized use.
Workspace owners control membership, roles, billing, and workspace content. Team members must follow the permissions set by the owner. If you use Clyps for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it.
Your content
You keep your rights in videos, audio, transcripts, brand assets, edits, and other material you submit. You give Clyps a limited permission to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that material only as needed to operate the service and follow your sharing choices.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload, edit, export, and publish your material, including any music, footage, voices, likenesses, and brand assets it contains.
AI and media processing
Clyps can transcribe media, suggest highlights, track subjects, generate captions, reframe video, and render exports. These features can make mistakes. Review transcripts, cuts, framing, captions, and outputs before relying on or publishing them.
Some Mac workflows can process media locally. Cloud projects, cloud exports, account services, and synchronization connect to Clyps systems. The app identifies when a workflow is local; do not assume every feature runs only on your device.
Clyps does not promise that suggested or generated output is unique, accurate, or free of third-party rights. You remain responsible for how you use an output.
Publishing and acceptable use
A source video remains private unless you choose to publish an output. When you publish, you direct Clyps to display the clip and associated profile, caption, topic, and attribution data according to the visibility you select.
Do not use Clyps to:
- break the law or violate another person's rights;
- upload material you are not permitted to use;
- harass, exploit, deceive, or endanger people;
- distribute malware or interfere with accounts, networks, rate limits, or security controls; or
- misrepresent output as authentic when that would mislead.
Clyps may restrict or remove content when needed to respond to reports, enforce these rules, protect the service, or comply with law.
Paid services
Paid plans are subscriptions processed by Stripe. The price, billing interval, included usage, and any taxes shown at checkout apply to your purchase. Plan features and usage limits are also shown in Clyps before you subscribe.
Workspace owners can manage billing through Clyps and the Stripe customer portal. A scheduled cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Any refund rights depend on applicable law and the purchase terms shown to you.
The service
Features can differ between the web, iPhone, and Mac apps. We may update or discontinue features as the product changes. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular processing time, or that every upload or export will complete.
The service may include third-party software and providers. Their terms can apply when you use their services directly, such as Google or Apple sign-in and Stripe checkout.
Ending use
You may stop using Clyps at any time. Account settings let you request deletion of cloud account data, subject to workspace ownership and records Clyps must retain. Local files on your device are not removed by a cloud account deletion.
Clyps may limit or suspend access to protect accounts or the service, comply with law, or address a material breach of these terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue after access ends will continue, including content permissions needed to complete requested actions and applicable legal limits.
Legal terms
Clyps is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Clyps disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
If one part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. We may update these terms as Clyps changes; the date above identifies the current version.
Questions about these terms can be sent through the support channel shown in Clyps or in the app store where you received the app.
