Make the clip before the full video goes live
Suppose a recorded lesson explains how to avoid a setup error. Upload the finished lesson to Clyps, choose the explanation, and keep the demonstration visible. You can prepare the short before the lesson is published on YouTube. Add the full lesson link in your posting workflow when it becomes available.
Check any product or field names in captions against the audio. Use a wide frame when the screen needs room. If the passage works as spoken advice, try a vertical version. Export the selected clip and play it once outside the editor.
Bring the video, keep the original project
Clyps does not currently fetch YouTube links or Drive URLs. Upload MP4, MOV, M4V, or WebM and keep the upload page open. Recordings around 40 minutes or shorter are recommended, subject to your plan allowance.
Use the source file without already-burned-in captions when you want to apply a fresh caption style. If the words are part of the picture, changing the transcript cannot remove them. Keep the original recording or editing project for changes that need the full episode.
Test a finished clip on Free
Clyps Free includes 30 source minutes, 10 finished minutes, and three exports per month. Free exports carry a Clyps watermark and free media expires after seven days. A 20-minute source and three one-minute clips fit those limits before other monthly usage.
Creator is $19 monthly for 300 source minutes, 120 finished minutes, and 60 exports. Paid plans remove the watermark. Estimate the length of your recordings and the output you expect, then compare all three allowances. Check the current Clyps plans before paying.
