Real stock footage, selected to fit your words
Clyps matches spoken content with stock images and video. It does not generate new footage from a text prompt. If your guest talks about a commute, you can look for a train or a city street. If the sentence needs your actual product, use footage you have the rights to use rather than an unrelated stock scene.
B-roll is optional. Your recording remains the starting point, and you decide where a cutaway belongs. Keep the speaker visible for a personal reaction or an important qualification. Show another image when the viewer needs to see what the speaker means.
See an actual Clyps export
This 6.7-second product demonstration uses public-domain NASA footage. NASA does not endorse Clyps. The demonstration was exported in Clyps. It shows a video insert in a split layout, followed by an image in picture-in-picture. The original speech continues beneath both inserts.
Watch the point where each insert appears and disappears. Those boundaries are editable. You can shorten a cutaway, replace it, remove it, or change its layout before exporting again.
This is a first-party product example. It demonstrates the edit and output, not a customer result or a prediction of social performance.
Add a cutaway without rebuilding the clip
- Upload your recording and open a clip in the editor. Check the spoken passage before choosing visuals.
- Open B-roll. Ask for suggestions based on the transcript, or search Pexels for a specific subject.
- Add the image or video you want. Set when it starts and ends, then choose how it shares the frame with your recording.
- Play the clip. Check that the insert supports the sentence, keeps captions readable, and leaves the ending intact. Export an MP4 when the edit is ready.
Visual changes preview in the browser. You do not need a new server export to compare layouts while editing. B-roll adds composition work to the final export, so render time can change with the footage and layout.

Make the cutaway earn its place
Imagine a founder explaining how customers book an appointment. A stock office shot gives atmosphere, but it cannot show that booking flow. A recording of the actual screen would be better evidence. For a sentence about walking to work, a short street scene may be enough.
Review people, places, and products in stock footage before using them. A suggested visual is an illustration, not proof that the people shown use your product. Follow the source license and avoid edits that imply an endorsement or misrepresent what happened.
A clear sentence often works best with the speaker on screen. You do not need an insert for every pause. Keep the cutaways that make the clip easier to follow.

- Does Clyps generate new images or video?
- This tool selects existing stock media from Pexels. It uses the transcript to suggest relevant cutaways. It is not a text-to-video or image generation tool.
- Will B-roll replace my recorded voice?
- The original recording's speech continues under the cutaway. Clyps keeps your captions in the composition, so preview their position with the chosen layout.
- Can I remove an automatic suggestion?
- Yes. B-roll is optional. You can change the media, timing, and layout, or remove the insert in the editor.
- What files do I start with?
- Upload your source video to Clyps, then open a clip. YouTube URL import is not currently available. You need permission to use the recording and any added media.
- Can I try the editing workflow for free?
